Why We Support Girls On The Run
Girls on the Run is a non-profit that empowers young girls through after-school programs. Participants build confidence and determination (not to mention cardio-vascular health!) by training for and completing a 5k run. GOTR Chicago works with over 4,000 girls in Chicago’s underserved communities, providing them with the resources and mentorship to accomplish this challenging goal.
GOTR Chicago improves lives by promoting the values that Resistance was founded on.
Mind + Body Connection
Confidence Through Accomplishment
Fitness is about more than looking and feeling good. GOTR has helped millions of girls nurture this mentality at a young age.
Resistance’s mission is to empower our community to build strength and confidence in their body. To truly achieve this mission, we must include the next generation in this community and provide them with the resources they need to achieve their goals as well.
GOTR is rated as “Exceptional (4/4 stars)” by Charity Navigator. By giving to an organization with top marks for financial management, transparency and accountability, you can be confident that your money is being put to good use.
“I can’t make it but I want to support GOTR!”
You can still support GOTR through our donation page. Every dollar helps girls in our Chicago community build the confidence and skills to become tomorrow’s leaders.
